Grading Policy

The year consists of eight units of activity, each lasting approximately four weeks. Students receive a letter grade for each unit.

Grades are based on the following:

25% Uniforms
12.5% Tardies
12.5% Participation
50%

Effort, Improvement, Attitude, Cooperation, Skills

Participation

Except for aquatics, all students are required to suit-up even when they are excused from the days activity. For a long-term excuse, meaning five days or more, the student must bring a medical exemption note from a doctor, stating the problem/duration of the exemption. These long-term exemptions are sent to the Department Head for assignments and are graded on a Pass/Fail basis.
